Here are some of our Frequently Asked Questions!

What should I expect when I arrive?

When you arrive at Wash and Glow, you will be greeted by our friendly staff who will help guide you through our process. Your only job is to put your car in neutral and let us do the rest! Our wash will automatically clean your vehicle’s exterior with gentle cloth washers and cleaning solutions. Your wheels and whitewalls will be cleaned as well. Your car will be rinsed and air dried. How easy is that?

Should I remain in my vehicle?

Yes. You must remain at the wheel for safety reasons.

Do you hand dry my vehicle?

Hand drying your car is not necessary with our custom-designed “drying area” at the end of our wash. We don’t even need to touch your car!

Do you take credit cards?

Yes. We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.

Do you clean the inside of the car?

Wash and Glow offers “exterior-only” service. We provide free self-service vacuums that are included with the purchase of any level of wash.

What kind of cleaning products do you use?

All of our cleaning products are fully biodegradable, meaning they are safe for your car and for the environment.

Do you recycle your water?

Yes. We reclaim our water.

How do you save water?

The average person uses between 100 and 150 gallons of water when washing a car by hand. Our computer-controlled system only uses 30 to 45 gallons of fresh water for each wash.

What’s the difference between “brush-less” and “touch-less”?

We use a brush-less process that uses only soft foam and cleans your car gently with safe shampoos and cleaners. Touch-less operations use acid-based chemicals that are hard on your vehicle’s finish.

Will my vehicle fit?

Your car shouldn’t have a problem fitting into our wash. If you ever have any questions, please feel free to come by any of our locations and we would be happy to check your vehicle for problem areas. Check out the list of cars that might not fit:
Vehicles that sit 4.5″ or lower to the ground.
Vehicles with tires wider than 13″.
Vehicles taller than 84″.
Extended Height Full Size Vans (over 84 inches)
Trucks with Dual Rear Tires
Vehicles with permanently affixed tri-pod style mirrors.

Objects on Antennas (balls, flags, etc.)

What types of vehicles can you wash?

Can you wash my pickup truck?

If your pickup has oversized trialering side mirrors, off-road tires or raised suspensions, they may not be compatible. Feel free to call before coming down to see if we can wash your pickup. Please empty your pickup bed before going through the wash for safety reasons. If your pickup has oversized trialering side mirrors, off-road tires or raised suspensions, they may not be compatible.

Is the wash safe for convertibles?

Yes, if the roof is properly latched.

Is the wash safe for newly painted cars?

Yes. At Wash and Glow, we use cloth wash materials and mild cleaners. Consult with your body shop for curing times (usually 30 days) before washing your car.

Is the wash safe for alloy wheels?

Will a cracked windshield be safe in the wash?

Yes, a cracked windshield will be safe in the wash, but as soon as a windshield is compromised (even by a very small rock chip), it becomes more susceptible to changes in temperature. It’s always best to repair a damaged windshield immediately to prevent the cracks or chips from expanding.

Will my antenna be OK?

CB and cell phone antennas, should be removed before washing.

Will my bug shield be safe?

Most customers who have bug shields can wash their car with no problems, however, we can not be responsible for after-market accessories made of plastic. Problems can arise if the shield is already damaged or if it is made from low-grade plastic. Products made from Lexan are virtually indestructible.
